Oat & Almond Granola Bars

Another healthy version energy and snack bars! Whether you crave sweet or savoury, this recipe encompasses both. The savoury taste of roasted almonds, almond butter goes well together with the sweet dates and maple sirup. Perfect pick-me up snack that is easy to have with you while on the go.

Full of healthy fats and carbs, they are filling and so satisfying that they will keep you full for hours. They are great as both morning or afternoon snack or why not a dessert? They are crunchy, but not dry, sweet, but they do not provide sugar overload that many conventional bars do. Only few natural ingredients, no baking needed and can be gluten-free. Give them a try, and enjoy these crunchy bars.


  • 1 1/2 cups of gluten free oats
  • 1 1/2 cups of gluten free oats
  • 9 Medjool dates
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup of almond butter
  • 1pinch of salt


  1. Toast your almonds and oats in an oven for 10-12 minutes on 180°
  2. In the meantime blend the pitted dates in a food processor until  creamy dough consistency
  3. Heat the almond butter and maple syrup until creamier consistency.
  4. Pour the warm almond butter and maple syrup over the oats, almonds and dates. Mix well to break the dates and disperse them throughout the mixture, it will hold it together so really mix well. You can eventually use your hands too to help the process.
  5. Transfer to small baking dish of squared or round shape lined with baking paper or plastic wrap. Spread it evenly and press it down firmly until flattened and spread evenly which is essential to hold it together. 
  6. Put it in a freezer for 15 minutes. Remove them and chop them into bars. Store them in a fridge or air tight container.
